Bred in the Blue assists the harness racing industry by rehoming Standardbred horses for a new career after racing.

TED 9YO Gelding - REHOMED MAY 2018

Rehoming on behalf of owner Free to good home. Ted is a cracking looking gentleman who has been in the paddock since 2016 so is looking for a new career. Not sure on his height but doesn't look huge (short legs lol) I would guesstimate 15.2hh maybe.

I have no idea what he is like to catch, shoe float etc but I would imagine fine as he is an imported NZ boy so has travelled and raced so has been shod etc. Quiet boy who is broken to harness and raced (only 48 starts)
He would need an experienced hand to bring him back into work and break him to saddle, but what a lovely boy he is.

He will only be homed to an experienced because of this. He is sound and looks like he would suit any discipline. Transport responsibility of new owner, not to be on sold or rehomed without permission, located Menangle NSW.  No time wasters please, if you are not ready NOW to get a horse or have no transport and don't want to pay for any please don't contact us.

Rehoming on behalf of owner.

This mature girl is looking for a new home sooner rather later (foal to be weaned). This girl never graced the racetrack but has been a nice broodmare She cannot be bred due to a medical condition.

She is quiet and easy to handle but a professional stud mare so a bit cunning. Will be fine for someone in a smaller environment who wants to show her some love and attention. - free to good home.

This girl needs a home sooner rather than later Time is not on her side. If you have a spare space and can give this lady a home please contact me ASAP.  She is in terrific condition and located at Young NSW.

Rehoming on behalf of owner/trainer. Rummie is a 5yo standardbred mare that has never raced as she was way too slow. Approx 15.1hh Broken to harness but not saddle.

Very very quiet, nice stocky build. Easy to do everything with catch, shoe, float etc she has been handled, led etc by a 6yo girl.  In paddock condition currently on hay. Has been in the paddock for a month so ready to progress to her next chapter.

She would be suited to any discipline, sound and relaxed .. not to be sold or rehomed with prior consent of myself or owner. Located Menangle, NSW.

Transport responsibility of new owner.

BARRY - 7YO Gelding - REHOMED APRIL 2018

Retired from racing Aug 2017 after a career of 33 starts. Broken to harness but not saddle but wouldn't think it will be a problem, he is in excellent condition.

Transport the responsibility of new owner.

Barry cannot be moved on or sold without permission of myself or the owner, located at Aberdeen NSW (near Scone)

HITCH - 9YO Gelding - REHOMED APRIL 2018

Rehoming on behalf of owner. Hitch (9 year old gelding) is a big lump of a horse who retired sound just too slow. He was imported from NZ so he is good to transport, has great ground manners perfect to catch, shoe, drench etc.

Broken to harness not saddle.  Hitch is a great doing horse ie doesn't need a lot of feed to keep him in great condition. He can be dominant in the paddock so not suited to being kept with young horses, ideally on his own or with older horses that can stand up for themselves.

Hitch is free to good home but cannot be sold or moved on without permission. Transport is the responsibility of the new owner.

Located Aberdeen (Near Scone) NSW
